The Step non Taken In the essay The Step non Taken, the reservoir is a hero engaged in a personal search for firearmages on how to respond to others suffering. He experiences in his search the three stages of a monomyth; separation, struggle, and return. From the beginning of his search to the end, the fount changes his views significantly, resulting in an epiphany when he finally realizes he has found the say he had been looking for. A clamber of thoughts fills his chief creating a sure struggle. As time goes on and the author continues to think about decision me made that day in the elevator, he begins his return to a stable tell of mind. The more he thinks about his decision and makes connections to his own life; he realizes that leaving that man sobbing in the elevator was a very selfish thing to do.
